Systems for fast and precise clamping and referencing

More precision, less set-up time, maximum efficiency: norelem is expanding its clamping technology portfolio with zero-point and 5-axis modular clamping systems from UNILOCK. With the pneumatic zero-point clamping systems, fixtures, vices and workpieces can be clamped and changed in seconds. The 5-axis modular clamping system was specially developed for 5-sided machining of complex workpieces - both systems achieve a repeat accuracy of less than 0.005 mm.

Zero-point clamping systems set a fixed reference point from which workpieces are precisely and repeatably positioned and fixed. As there is no need for re-alignment, set-up times are reduced and productivity increases. Also available: 5-axis modular clamping systems in sizes 80 and 50, with which objects of different geometries, formats and weights can be machined from five sides without interfering edges.

Safe and reliable: Pneumatic zero-point clamping systems

New to the range is the UNILOCK EGM 110-75 clamping module, which can be used on machine tables or in fixtures, even when space is limited. It can also be integrated into robot automation systems together with an EGM 110-75 pallet coupling to automatically change clamping pallets.

The UNILOCK ESA 138 clamping module is ideal for automatic clamping devices. In addition to the scanning functions, four special support surfaces with air system control ensure that the clamping device is fully clamped. A special wiper also ensures that no dirt collects on the module.

The UNILOCK ASM 99 clamping module is an add-on module with a total height of 56 mm (together with the clamping module). Alternatively, the module can also be fully integrated into a fixture plate or the machine table.

Each of the systems has integrated monitoring functions which ensure that the workpiece remains securely positioned at all times and collisions with milling or other tools are prevented.

All-round flexibility: Mechanical 5-axis modular clamping system

With this system, complex workpieces can be machined from five sides and completely manufactured in a single clamping operation. To do this, they are bolted to the 5-axis modular clamping system via screw connections. Thanks to the modular design, the large number of modules (more than 70) and sizes, the system can be individually assembled and recombined for many applications. The combination of basic modules, add-on modules and accessories guarantees the realization of different heights, docking to interfaces and the machining of complex workpieces with very high repeat accuracy.

The UNILOCK 5-axis basic module VARIO, for example, enables flexible positions when clamping workpieces and fixtures. It can be attached via the rail in the base with one or two UNILOCK clamping pins. If only one clamping bolt is used, the VARIO base module can be rotated freely.

The UNILOCK 5-axis base module DUO with its three interfaces for clamping pins is used for stable, high superstructures with heavy workpieces. Compared to round base modules, a larger support surface is generated here. The DUO base modules can be used with the double interface facing downwards or upwards.
