The art of precise and fast 3D element attachment

In an era characterized by labor shortages and ever shorter decision-making deadlines during project development, tools such as 3D planning and design are now available. Close coordination and cooperation between the building element manufacturer, architect and façade builder means that prefabricated elements can be implemented with shorter assembly times.

To assemble these quickly and precisely, specially developed substructure systems, pre-assembly options and technologies, and a rethink of planning and assembly are required. The building elements are heavier and less small-scale, which meets today's architectural requirements.

Large-format building elements as architectural eye-catchers
In SPURWERK, the impressive building project of the Bremen investor and project developer "Peper & Söhne", the requirements of contemporary architecture are put into practice. On the site of the former Neustadtsgüterbahnhof (Neustadt freight station), a modern, versatile commercial mix of offices, crafts, showrooms and gastronomy is being created on an area of around 90,000 square meters.

Westphal Architekten BDA are responsible for the urban look of the new spacious working environment. The newly developed neighborhood features multi-story, grayish iridescent brick-clad buildings supported by anthracite-colored, floor-to-ceiling concrete bases.

Secure support for three-dimensional, large-format concrete piers in element construction
A special construction of the proven SYSTEA profile system UBE NG connects the slabs and fittings made of glass-fiber reinforced concrete by RIEDER. In order to accelerate the assembly time of the upward striving, arrow-like 3D glass fiber concrete elements, two-dimensional elements of the formparts series were chosen. The elements were prefabricated to fit together precisely with system corner brackets and shipped to the construction site after pre-assembly.

In close coordination with Kohlmeyer Fassadenbau, it was thus possible not only to shorten the assembly process many times over, but also to perfectly combine the high quality of pre-assembly with the work on the construction site. When installing large-format elements on site, it is important that they are exactly level and precisely mounted by crane.

The SYSTEA UBE profile system excels in the concealed fastening of large-format façade panels. In the Bremen construction project, the cladding elements were screwed together concealed by means of Rieder system brackets. In order to meet the thermal insulation requirements, the SYSTEA system was designed to be thermally optimized. The agraffe fastening can be done on site as well as in the pre-assembly. For easier processing, the wall brackets have been equipped with an assembly aid that allows the support profile to be fixed and held in place.

SYSTEA will be happy to discuss your individual needs and answer any questions you may have.
