About August Vormann GmbH & Co. KG

Over 150 years for trade, industry and end users

August VORMANN employs around 190 people at its 3 German sites, roughly half of whom work at the plants in Ennepetal (administration, warehousing and logistics) and Elsterwerda (production). The family-owned company, now in its 5th generation, was founded in 1863 by Ludwig VORMANN and can thus look back on a tradition of more than 150 years. Over the years, the manufacturer of hinges at the time of the company's founding has developed into an internationally active company that today offers a diverse range of products for hobby users and professional fabricators.

Quality from German production

VORMANN relies on the "Made in Germany" seal of quality in its production. With the acquisition of the building authority approval as well as the CE marking for its statically relevant timber connectors and column shoes, VORMANN also offers trade and users more transparency with regard to product safety and quality. The quality management according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, which was introduced years ago, with regular audits and inspections, additionally ensures that our customers receive the quality they expect.

Standard products and individual stamped and bent parts

In addition to the production and distribution of standard assortments in the field of fasteners (among others. Hinges, fittings, wooden connectors, brackets, connectors and holders), bracket and shelving systems, chains, ropes and accessories, load securing and a handrail system, we also offer the design and manufacture of drawing-based individual stamped and bent parts to customer specifications.

Location South Africa and international partners

Our own sales office in South Africa as well as firm cooperations with long-standing partner companies, among others in Austria, Switzerland, the Benelux countries, Russia, Latvia and Romania, testify to VORMANN's international orientation, which is also reflected in the 5-language Internet presence.
