Progressive dies for complex components August Vormann GmbH & Co. KG

Forming in progressive dies for more economy and highest quality
In progressive dies, cutting and forming operations are carried out one after the other in several sequences on one component. This makes it possible to drop finished stamped and formed parts from a single die.

Focus on economy and quality
Due to economic requirements and the steadily increasing quality demands of our customers for complex components, in combination with increasing batch sizes, we are increasingly using progressive dies. An essential prerequisite for this is appropriate machines in production. For example, our company uses machines with automatic strip processing systems and press forces of 800 to 4000 kN.

Precision despite high load
Due to the high and intensive load, progressive dies must meet the highest demands for durability and precision. The use of progressive dies brings considerable advantages in terms of throughput times in production. This means that the times between order placement and delivery of the parts can be kept relatively short.

The use of progressive dies therefore depends on a whole series of factors, which are carefully examined and evaluated by our employees in engineering, design and toolmaking.

Why do we use progressive dies?
  • increasing quality demands of our customers
  • increasing batch sizes
  • economic requirements
  • meet the highest durability requirements
  • achieve precise results despite high loads
  • relatively short lead times
