With its modular cell, RK Rose+Kriegerhas presented another system solution for the integration of robotics in assembly. Based on its range of components, the manufacturer has developed a standard concept that can be adapted to individual automation requirements. The centerpiece is the SensorBoard technology, which supports the integrated robot arm with automatic position detection of workpiece carriers.

Flexibly adaptable and yet quickly available - this is the principle according to which RK Rose+Krieger develops system solutions for industrial production and automation. The most recent example is the modular cell. It consists of a SCARA or articulated arm robot on a base plate from RK Profiltechnik and the sensor board from RK Rose+Krieger. The latter enables component positioning with an accuracy of 0.01 millimeters. The technology works with sensors instead of camera technology. This makes it independent of changing light conditions, dirt or dust. The robot cell is available in three sizes to suit different types of assembly.

Table frame for collaborative use

The basic version of the modular cell consists of a table frame on which the robot arm with the aluminum base plate is mounted. The highly rigid Blocan frame from RK Profiltechnik provides the robot cell with stability even at high travel speeds. It also opens up many connection options for component holders and individual components for operating the system. The variant is suitable for collaborative use of robotics, for example in assembly work, quality control or teaching & research.

With protective housing for semi-automated production

For use in semi-automated processes, such as assembly or sorting, RK Rose+Krieger has extended the basic frame to include a protective housing and an insertion area for manual material feed. The extended Blocan frame enables the simple integration of additional camera and vision systems.

Robot cell for fully automated processes

RK Rose+Krieger offers a fully automatic version of the modular cell for integration into production lines. It has an automatic material feed and can also be extended with holders for monitors, touch panels and other operating devices.

Modular design enables economical special solutions

All concepts are modular. They are based on standard elements from linear technology, profile technology, connection and module technology. They can be economically combined to create individual special solutions for the respective assembly line. The manufacturer's broad portfolio makes it possible to easily integrate the systems into existing lines. The modular cells are supplied by RK Rose+Krieger as a complete solution, including robots and programming.
