Mobile cobot trolley with automatic positioning
At LogiMAT 2025, RK Rose+Krieger will be presenting its mobile cobot cart for the first time. It enables the free movement and precise positioning of a robot between individual workstations on an assembly line. For the system, the solution provider combines profile technology, cobot and SensorBoard technology.
From March 11 to 13, 2025, RK Rose+Krieger will be showcasing its components and system solutions for industrial production and automation at LogiMAT 2025 in Stuttgart. Visitors can experience a premiere in Hall 5, Stand 5G18. The company will be presenting its first solution for automated and semi-automated assembly lines based on SensorBoard technology: the mobile cobot trolley.
Positioning accuracy of 0.01 millimeters
The mobile cobot trolley from RK Rose+Krieger enables the operator to move a robot between the workstations on an assembly line, where it positions itself with an accuracy of 0.01 millimeters. The transport carriage made from profile technology components is equipped with a SensorBoard for this purpose. This controls a sensor counterpart with which the target station is equipped. This means that positioning no longer has to be carried out mechanically or optically using sensor and camera technology. With the SensorBoard, this is done independently of changing light conditions, dirt or dust. The mobile cobot trolley can therefore be used in different scenarios without having to be reprogrammed each time.
Ready-to-use system from a single source
The SensorBoard is flexibly scalable from 100 square millimetres. It enables 2D to 6D position determination, which is calculated in real time. The technology has been part of RK Rose+Krieger's modular product range since 2023. It can be used wherever precise positioning or the handling of freely positioned components is required. In addition to installation, RK Rose+Krieger also handles the complete programming of the SensorBoard and cobots.
In the mobile cobot trolley, the manufacturer installs cobots from Mitsubishi and an electric drive system from Blickle. Customers receive it from RK Rose+Krieger as a fully customized, ready-to-use system from a single source.
