ACE Stoßdämpfer GmbH is now offering design engineers not only configuration and calculation software, CAD data and simulations, but also data from digital twins for integration into virtual models.

This makes ACE the first supplier of industrial shock absorbers to provide customers with FMUs (Functional Mockup Units). This makes it possible to integrate physical models of a supplier product, in this case industrial dampers, into the customer's own simulation models. This advantage is particularly useful for special dampers, as ACE is able to quickly provide prototypes as digital twins.

ACE also offers to export data for all catalog shock absorbers and transfer it to customers on request. The FMUs are equipped with the physical behavior from the hydraulic, thermal and mechanical areas of ACE's industrial shock absorbers. This makes it possible, for example, to precisely calculate the influence of the input temperature on the damping behavior of the industrial shock absorber and to examine its effect on the overall design in advance. Thanks to these and other features, ACE's digital twins are proving to be essential components for virtual prototyping and the dimensioning of designs for customers. On the plus side, in addition to time and cost savings, there are also sustainability benefits, as fewer physical samples are needed to complete the development of a design.

If customers want to use ACE's FMUs, they need simulation software that includes an FMI (Functional Mockup Interface). Common programs that integrate ACE's FMUs include Simulink and Adams.
