Stabilus Group impresses trade visitors at Interzum 2025 with numerous innovations

At Interzum, which ended on May 23, the Stabilus Group booth in Hall 7 was once again a familiar sight. Interesting exhibits and product innovations as well as exciting company news and future prospects were the reasons for Stabilus' good attendance at the world's leading trade fair for furniture production and interior design in Cologne.

With Industrial ^POWERISE®, Stabilus presented a trade fair highlight and used two concepts of electrically adjustable folding tables to illustrate the ergonomic, space and comfort advantages offered by the electromechanical actuators. These are an industry-adapted version of the tried-and-tested Automotive POWERISE^®, which has been providing simple, reliable opening of tailgates and side doors in cars for decades. With its help, furniture objects can also be controlled and moved automatically, precisely and safely without additional effort. To illustrate this, two folding table exhibits were converted from gas springs to Industrial ^POWERISE®. While one table is equipped with an IPR35 actuator with an integrated locking system that prevents unintentional manual opening, the second uses the new IPR40 actuator. Compared to the IPR35, this model offers a more robust design, higher forces, more flexible fastenings, individual configurations even for small quantities and integrated limit switches that make the drive usable without additional controls. With both solutions, Stabilus demonstrates how current and future requirements for flexible room design can be met more elegantly, conveniently and with higher quality using electric drives. This is also because Industrial ^POWERISE® works almost silently and extremely reliably and can even be operated manually during power failures without being damaged.

Interzum premiere: Cultraro, the latest expert brand from Stabilus

Cultraro, the Italian specialist for rotary brakes, was presented as an expert brand for the first time at the Interzum trade fair stand. Following a successful partnership and the gradual expansion of the shareholding, which reached an important milestone in 2023 when Stabilus acquired a 60 percent stake, Cultraro is now the eighth expert brand to become part of the Stabilus brand family. The cooperation will also be driven forward in the areas of sales, research and development as well as purchasing in order to convert the resulting synergy effects into greater customer benefits and further improved service. The Cultraro brand will retain its identity and will increasingly appear as a Stabilus brand.

Many furniture designers and constructors have already discovered the world of endless possibilities for slowing down, braking and damping at Cultraro. From elegant rotation brakes and precise axial and linear dampers to innovative push-push locking systems, the spectrum that could be experienced live at the Interzum. Whether soft-closing cabinets, flaps with a push mechanism or delayed-motion roller blinds and mosquito nets - Cultraro components give furniture and accessories a long-lasting, comfortable and stylish function.

In addition to the expert brand Cultraro, Hahn Gasfedern GmbH and ACE Stoßdämpfer GmbH were also represented at the trade fair stand as part of the Stabilus Group. Hahn presented the prototypes of new mini gas springs in the dimension G4-12/FR for the stepless opening and closing of wall units for the first time. With a secure hold, silent operation and infinitely variable adjustability, they set new standards in convenience and quality. The material-friendly technology gives every piece of furniture noticeably more value. This innovative extension perfectly rounds off the Hahn Mini range (sizes 4-12) of gas springs and linear dampers for furniture flaps.

Supplemented by gas springs and dampers from ACE, which are also available immediately from stock in small quantities, the Stabilus Group is now also recommended as a partner for all aspects of motion control in the wood and furniture sector. Whether manual or electric, linear or rotary - Stabilus products bring movement to a wide range of applications. They adjust, dampen and move with precision, providing noticeably more comfort and safety in everyday life.

The versatility of the solutions offered by Stabilus' expert brands was impressively demonstrated during the trade fair: In numerous discussions, visitors gained exciting insights into existing applications. At the same time, Stabilus presented forward-looking innovations that set new standards.

As part of this year's trade fair motto "Rethinking Resources", the topic of sustainability played a prominent role at the Stabilus stand. In addition to specialists from the furniture industry, sustainability experts were present every day to discuss the current situation and future developments with business partners. Just as Stabilus is committed to the sustainable development goals of the United Nations, the company is also committed to goals such as clean water, responsible consumption and production as well as climate protection in its cooperation with partners from the furniture industry.

With the new EU Regulation 2024/1781, the European Union is setting clear standards for sustainable product design. In the future, furniture manufacturers will be obliged to fulfill minimum ecological requirements. Stabilus is actively supporting its business partners on this path. In close cooperation, we listen carefully, understand individual requirements and offer targeted support in implementing the new regulations.

The large number of measures already implemented and those still planned underpins Stabilus' goal of achieving peak values in sustainability by 2030. In the coming years, Stabilus will continue to cooperate with its business partners in this direction.
