Heavy-duty telescopic rails up to 480 kg from KIPP

Guiding large weights easily and safely

Extremely high load-bearing capacity with perfectly smooth running: the new heavy-duty telescopic slides from HEINRICH KIPP WERK not only support loads of up to almost half a tonne, but are also extremely smooth-running and easy to operate. These powerhouses owe their positive characteristics to their sophisticated design and the selected production process.

Whether the battery drawer of a train, the doors of a CNC machine or sliding workpiece racks in a warehouse: wherever heavy weights need to be safely stored, moved and handled, the new heavy-duty telescopic slides from KIPP offer the perfect solution. Two product families with a total of 40 types cover a range of lengths between 300 and 1,500 mm and provide a maximum load capacity of 420 or 480 kg when mounted on the side. All models are full-extension runners. This means that the stroke corresponds to the installation length, which in turn ensures optimum accessibility and maximum convenience.

The heavy-duty telescopic slides achieve their particularly high stability and robustness thanks to the selected manufacturing concept. They are not drawn from steel - as is usual in most cases - but milled from solid material. This also eliminates the otherwise necessary hardening process, which gives the telescopic slides a price advantage over a drawn version with the same load capacity. The rails and ball cage are made of galvanized tempered steel, while the balls are made of hardened stainless steel.

In addition to the manufacturing process, the design of the telescopic slides also contributes to their stability. Running rails and double T-profile rails have a milled profile in a round shape, which increases load capacity and smoothness compared to the V-profile. The maximum bending is 1% of the extension length and depends almost exclusively on the rigidity of the structures connected to the guide elements.

ideally suited for handling and automation applications
The fact that the heavy-duty telescopic slides are not only stable but also extremely smooth-running makes them ideal for handling and automation applications where a jerky extension is required. In addition, the power packs offer excellent resistance to applied loads even when extended. This in turn predestines them for dynamic applications with high torque.

The heavy-duty telescopic slides are available in the dimensions 50 x 30 mm (W x H; up to 420 kg) and 70 x 32 mm (up to 480 kg). They are suitable for rail distances of up to 1,000 mm, a travel speed of up to 0.5 m/s and temperatures between -20 and 180 °C. The maximum load capacity refers to a vertically mounted pair of telescopic slides when using the full extension travel. When mounted horizontally, the load capacity is 70 % lower.
