The GEDA 1200 Z/ZP transport platform in use on the Irish coast
In the Irish coastal town of Dalkey, a GEDA 1200 Z/ZP transport platform is being used for the construction of new one and two-bedroom apartments. With this optimal solution for transport at height "Made in Germany", the construction could be completed on time.
Dalkey, a suburb of Dublin, is located in the southeast of the capital in the middle of an extraordinary landscape directly on the Irish Sea. Here you can enjoy outstanding views across the sea to Dalkey Island, which is popular with locals and tourists alike. The high demand for housing in Ireland meant that the new apartments had to be completed on time. The Irish company Mantis Cranes LTD was able to help with the positioning of a GEDA 1200 Z/ZP transport platform.
Know-how and partnership pay off
Just last year, GEDA transport platforms celebrated their 25th anniversary, a sign of the quality and performance of the equipment. The transport platform from Asbach-Bäumenheim in Bavaria was also an indispensable aid on the Irish construction site.
It was particularly important for the customer, who had commissioned our partner Mantis Cranes, to load and unload materials quickly. The safe and fast transportation of personnel was also a priority in order to save time and keep costs as low as possible. After a detailed consultation and a site inspection by a technical consultant from Mantis Cranes
, it was clear that the GEDA 1200 Z/ZP was the ideal machine for this construction site. With a platform size of 1.4 m x 2.0 m and a load capacity of 1500 kg, it is ideally suited to transporting the building materials, such as plasterboard or roof slates, to their place of use.
The workers could also be brought to their workplace without any problems, as the GEDA 1200 Z/ZP can transport up to 7 people as well as materials. Due to the urgency of the project, the GEDA 1200 Z/ZP transport platform was a great helper on the construction site, saving those responsible time and money. This was achieved despite the difficult conditions: on the construction site, the transport platform was set up in an underground garage, from where it had to access the 5 floors of the construction site through an opening at ground level. The successful cooperation between the manufacturer, GEDA GmbH, the rental company Mantis Cranes, and the construction company on site led to a quick and successful installation.
For a total duration of 7 months, our GEDA 1200 Z/ZP transport platform supported the work in Dalkey, Ireland and contributed to the punctual completion of the project. We look forward to continuing to support Mantis Cranes' projects with our GEDA equipment in the future
