PFISTERER repositions itself and strengthens its position as an international technology company.

Karl-Heinz Pfisterer becomes Honorary Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SE.

Winterbach, Germany - July 28, 2023 - The transformation of PFISTERER Holding AG into a European Company (Societas Europaea, SE) was completed with the entry in the Commercial Register (HRB 790497), which took place on July 28, 2023. The new legal form underlines PFISTERER's positioning as a future-oriented international technology company for connection technology in power grids. At the same time, it marks an important step for the further successful development of the company independently of the founding family.

As a globally active company, PFISTERER is involved in numerous projects in the field of renewable energies, power transmission and distribution. The conversion will enable the company, with locations in Europe, the USA in the Middle and Far East, as well as Asia and Argentina, to do even better justice to its international orientation and employee structure.

The proven two-tier governance model with the Management Board as the management body and the Supervisory Board as the monitoring body will also be retained under the new SE structure. Karl-Heinz Pfisterer, Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board and grandson of the company founder, was appointed Honorary Chairman of the Supervisory Board. for more than 50 years, he bore responsibility for the company as a shareholder, first in the operational management and then on the Supervisory Board. The position of Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board will be taken over by Mr. Erich Schefold, previously Chairman of the Audit Committee.
Since its transformation into a stock corporation in 1999, the foundation has been laid for the company to develop independently of the family. In the long term, the non-profit KAP Foundation is also to take over Mr. Karl-Heinz Pfisterer's position as shareholder of the company. With the new legal form and the composition of the executive bodies, the basis for a long-term, independent and successful future of the PFISTERER Group has been created. The separation of family and company management has thus been completed.

In principle, the new legal form has no effect on the company's contractual partners and customers. The headquarters of PFISTERER Holding SE will remain unchanged in Winterbach.

"PFISTERER's goal is to accompany the global energy transition and to improve electricity transmission and distribution," says Supervisory Board Chairman Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Blättchen. "Over the years, we have developed into one of today's leading global technology providers for contacting, insulating and connecting electrical conductors."

In the course of the SE transformation, PFISTERER Holding SE also intends to further promote employee retention. The establishment of an SE works council will create a transnational body of employee representatives. "In such a body, we see the opportunity for our workforce to grow further together across national borders," explains Johannes Linden, Spokesman of the Management Board. "We are looking forward to further developing our growing and diverse organization and corporate culture in an international environment."

The Executive Board anticipates strong growth in the coming years. "The future potential of our work is enormous," explains board member Dr. Konstantin Kurfiss. "We are in the midst of dynamic growth driven by the global shift to renewable energies, the expansion of grids and rising energy demand. As a pioneer and driver of innovation, we are proud to be actively shaping the energy transition."
