With the MDR series, JAKOB Antriebstechnik has a universally applicable power clamping nut with laterally arranged operating hexagon and through-hole thread in its product range. The MDR series complements the two clamping nut types MCA and MDA with operation from the top, which have proven themselves excellently for many years in a wide variety of applications. The size 150 with 150 kN nominal clamping force is a brand new addition to the selection.



An essential design feature of the MDR clamping nut is a special crown gear with right-angled deflection of the rotation to multiply the tightening torque. Proportional to the tightening torque, the clamping force is built up in a safe and controlled manner. This ensures high clamping forces with maximum operational reliability with very simple manual operation. For the M30 thread size, for example, the normally required heavy SW46 wrench is replaced by the SW14 operating hexagon, thus allowing much more convenient working.

The through-hole thread, in conjunction with variable-length T-slot screws or clamping bolts, enables very flexible use with different clamping heights or tool thicknesses. In addition to the robust material design, the compact dimensions and especially the very low overall height should be emphasized. This also allows use in extremely confined installation conditions. The MDR clamping nut is maintenance-free under normal operating conditions and can be used up to 400°C in a special version.
