One way and a lot of protection: ACE's crash dampers provide designers with a highly effective alternative for plant safety in the form of a single-use solution. Each crash element, made of specially designed aluminum tubing or steel, dissipates even high inertia forces almost instantaneously in the event of an impact. By arranging the crash elements in series or parallel, even greater energy values can be absorbed in a single blow.
Other advantages of the emergency stoppers developed in sophisticated test series are simple installation, easy retrofitting in existing systems, and fast replacement and reduced downtime after a crash. In addition, the deformation of the crash box allows the accident event to be reconstructed and, in the best case, avoided in the future.
The crash dampers therefore secure linear units in robotics and the end positions of machine tools, conveyors and high-bay storage and retrieval systems in many places.
