With the PCMDNI300 series, MTM Power presents a generation of DC/DC converters without galvanic isolation as a decentralized power supply in vehicle applications. The wide input voltage range of 28...160 VDC allows the converters to be used on 36 V to 110 V batteries.

The outstanding efficiency of up to 95 % enables the devices to be operated in a temperature range of -40 to +70 °C without derating. The fully vacuum encapsulated (U.S. Patent No. 8,821,778 B2) converter offers protection against condensation, conductive dusts and other environmental influences and is available with output voltages of 12 VDC or 24 VDC. Thanks to the robust design with contact cooling (BPC technology), the heat loss is dissipated via the mounting plate and the service life expectancy of the devices is increased. A self-cooling version with integrated heat sink is available as an option. A primary remote control input allows the output voltage to be switched on with low power at high loads.

An active inrush current limiter with reverse polarity protection is installed in the converter's input circuit to allow the use of standard miniature circuit breakers corresponding to the rated power of the PCMDNI300 and to prevent contact damage to upstream switching devices. The connection is made via industrial plug connectors with either spring-loaded or screw terminals.
