In mass-production applications, sensors often need not only to measure precisely but also to integrate seamlessly into existing machines, systems, or assemblies. The induSENSOR portfolio from Micro-Epsilon offers a broad technological foundation precisely for this purpose. The inductive displacement sensors and probes cover a variety of measurement principles, designs, and measurement ranges. The spectrum ranges from standard sensors for versatile displacement and position measurement tasks to specialized systems for demanding applications, such as precise clamping stroke measurement. This makes the sensors suitable for use in automation, mechanical engineering, test benches, hydraulic systems, pneumatic cylinders, and automotive engineering.
Robust, precise, and easy to integrate
Inductive sensors in the induSENSOR series offer high signal quality, temperature stability, and reliability even in harsh environmental conditions. They are insensitive to dirt and moisture, resistant to shock and vibration, and—when properly mounted—enable non-contact and therefore wear-free measurement. The state-of-the-art MSC controllers expand application possibilities through analog output signals, RS485, and interface modules for Ethernet, EtherCAT, PROFINET, and EtherNet/IP. In addition, they enable the synchronized operation of multiple sensors for scalable multi-channel measurements. This allows the sensors to be efficiently integrated into machines, systems, and OEM assemblies.
Flexible Basis for Customizations
When standard versions reach their limits, sensors from the induSENSOR standard product line can be specifically customized. Depending on the requirements, measurement ranges, designs, mounting options, cable and connector types, targets, and interfaces can be modified. Integrated or remote electronics are also possible. This results in solutions that are precisely tailored to the installation space, environmental conditions, and individual requirements. The spectrum ranges from robust LVDT sensors for tight installation spaces to compact long-stroke sensors for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders.
OEM Solutions from Development to Series Production
For high-volume applications, Micro-Epsilon develops inductive sensors that are precisely designed to meet the specific requirements. Geometry, design, electronics, and packaging are optimized for each customer. Thanks to a high degree of in-house development and manufacturing capabilities, OEM projects can be implemented cost-effectively. Micro-Epsilon supports customers from the initial concept phase through prototyping to mass production. Users benefit from many years of technological and application expertise, as well as from solutions designed for long service life, robust performance, and long-term availability.
