"Keep it simple": The RK EcoLine

Following its profile technology line , RK Rose+Kriegerhas now launched a product family for its linear technology that follows the “Keep it simple” principle. The RK EcoLine offers components that combine high load-bearing capacity with a simplified design. This makes it a cost-effective RK alternative when more complex linear units far exceed the technical requirements.

Linear movements in packaging processes and metrology place very different demands on repeatability, travel speed, and acceleration. RK Rose+Krieger now makes it possible to properly size linear technology for every need without having to compromise on quality. RK EcoLine is the new product family that completes the company’s linear technology portfolio, which includes RK DuoLine, RK MonoLine, and quad EV.

The series launches with size 80 in two guide variants

The series kicks off with the RK EcoLine Z 80, featuring a thrust force of up to 1,300 N and acceleration of up to 20 m/s². It offers a guide system designed for flexibility that can be adapted to the specific application. It is available with either a slide guide or a roller guide.

The slide guide, with a travel speed of up to 1 m/s, makes the linear unit ideal for applications where robustness and reliability are paramount. The play in this guide system can be adjusted to “low play” if required. In the version with a roller guide, the linear unit enables travel speeds of up to 5 m/s. This makes it suitable for applications with fast cycle times.

Flexible Motor Mounting

The tension of the toothed belt can also be precisely adjusted using a tensioning device integrated into the guide profile. In addition, a hollow shaft allows the motor to be mounted on either side. The entire linear unit can be easily integrated into the system via T-slots in the guide carriage and guide profile.

Further customization options are available through the extensive range of accessories for RK linear units. For example, a spreader hub allows a selection of additional motors to be connected to the hollow shaft. A synchronous shaft enables two linear units to be driven in parallel by a single motor. Using system brackets and system plates, the RK EcoLine can also be incorporated into the RK multi-axis modular system, which allows for the quick and easy planning and design of custom linear, planar, and spatial gantries.

Standard sizes shorten delivery times

RK Rose+Krieger is currently systematically expanding its range of cost-effective product lines. With the RK Eco Profile and the Eco material cart, the company most recently addressed the demand for material-reduced profile and modular technology for simpler applications. The RK EcoLine now continues this trend in linear technology. In addition to the more streamlined design of the components, the company offers another way to keep project budgets down: The linear units are also available in standard lengths with predefined strokes. Those who plan with standard sizes can save on costs and delivery time.
