Portal systems benefit from modular linear technology
With the help of RK Rose+Krieger’smulti-axis modular system, designers can quickly and flexibly configure gantry systems. The advantage: The Minden-based manufacturer also provides access to a modular product portfolio of components and system solutions for industrial production and automation. This allows gantry systems to be tailored precisely to specific application requirements.
RK Rose+Krieger offers a multi-axis modular system for linear, planar, and spatial gantries. These can be easily configured, integrated, and expanded with selected series from RK Linear Technology for various positioning tasks. The system is based on the RK MonoLine and RK DuoLine linear axes. They can be combined across different sizes and, thanks to a variety of drives, used for multiple positioning tasks.
For high-speed movements: RK MonoLine
The RK MonoLine Z with a toothed belt driveis ideal for particularly high speeds . It reaches a top speed of up to 10 m/s. If the application requires moving a light load on the Z-axes, the RK MonoLine MT is recommended. It uses an omega-shaped toothed belt drive that is secured to the end plate on both sides. The motor is mounted on the carriage and can be attached on either side. The RK MonoLine MT in size 60 is available specifically for compact linear guides in pick-and-place, palletizing, loading, and unloading operations. Depending on the configuration, it can be used as a cantilever axis, horizontal axis, vertical axis, or gantry drive with two vertical axes.
For high dynamics: RK DuoLine
The RK DuoLine series offers linear axes for high dynamics. The RK DuoLine S operates as a profile linear axis with an enclosed spindle drive and achieves speeds of up to 2.4 m/s. The RK DuoLine Z, with a toothed belt drive, achieves even higher dynamics and speeds of up to 5 m/s. Typical applications for RK DuoLine axes include automation tasks involving fast movements, such as in handling, assembly, and packaging technology.
Finally, the multi-axis modular system includes a wide variety of design components. These include clamping strips, system plates, system brackets, universal energy chain holders, and motor mounting kits.
Further optimized with 6,500 catalog items
What sets RK Rose+Krieger’s multi-axis modular system apart is that it is integrated into the manufacturer’s overall modular portfolio. More than 6,500 catalog items from linear technology, profile technology, connection technology, and modular technology serve as the basis for customer-specific system solutions. They make it possible to optimally design gantries to meet specific performance requirements. For example, RK Rose+Krieger offers the BLOCAN heavy-duty profiles from the D-Line for handling loads weighing several metric tons, or—with additional actuators, sensors, and photoelectric sensors—enables the integration of automated format adjustment into a packaging system.
