GEMÜ headquarters in Kupferzell receives "Best Workspaces Award 2026"

The GEMÜ Group headquarters in the Hohenlohe business park in Kupferzell has been awarded the prestigious "Best Workspaces Award 2026". This makes the building one of the award-winning projects that set new standards for modern working environments in German-speaking countries.

The "Best Workspaces Award" is one of the leading international architecture awards for intelligent working environments and office buildings. Every year, outstanding projects are recognized for their design quality, functional excellence and innovative concepts. In the 2026 competition year, around 70 projects were recognized, including exemplary solutions from the fields of interior design and building construction.

The assessment was carried out by an independent jury of experts from the fields of architecture, design, research and media. The key criteria included flexibility, collaboration, communication, concentration and well-being as well as the degree of innovation, contemporary nature and design quality of the buildings.

With its headquarters in Kupferzell, GEMÜ has created a working environment that goes far beyond traditional office structures. The building combines functional requirements with a modern, employee-oriented design and specifically promotes exchange, identification and productivity. GEMÜ thus follows a holistic understanding of working environments that focuses on both the spatial quality and the subjective well-being of employees. The interplay of architecture, functionality and work culture creates an environment that supports communication and enables forward-looking work concepts.

"A modern working environment is not a 'nice-to-have' for GEMÜ, but a key success factor. With our new headquarters, we have created an environment that promotes innovation, collaboration and job satisfaction in equal measure. Open, flexible spaces, ergonomic workplaces and inspiring retreats not only support the productivity but also the creativity of our employees," says Gert Müller, CEO and Managing Partner of the GEMÜ Group.

The award is presented by Callwey Verlag in collaboration with leading partners from the fields of architecture, design and working environment research. The aim is to make pioneering workspace concepts visible and promote the exchange between companies, planners and manufacturers.
