Certified safety: GEMÜ plastic diaphragm valves approved for drinking water supply
GEMÜ plastic diaphragm valves are now approved for use in all drinking water applications in Germany. The basis for this is the successful testing and certification by the independent certification body OFI CERT in accordance with the current specifications of the Federal Environment Agency (UBA).
For the installation and repair of drinking water systems, the UBA stipulates that only materials that do not release any substances that are harmful to health into the drinking water or promote the growth of microorganisms may be used. The plastic diaphragm valves from GEMÜ were tested accordingly as part of comprehensive tests. The result: The GEMÜ 610, 617, R629, R639, R647, R649, R677 and R690 valve types with PVC-U valve bodies and EPDM diaphragms meet all hygiene requirements.
GEMÜ thus offers its customers tested safety and reliable product quality for use in cold and hot water applications in drinking water supplies
