SISTEMA safety library for Dunkermotoren's smart dPro motors with STO
Dunkermotoren, a brand of AMETEK, is now offering its customers a safety library for its smart motors and control electronics with integrated safety function STO (Safe Torque Off). In addition to the entire range of brushless DC motors in the dPro family, this also includes the BGE 5510 dPro external control electronics. This makes it easy to determine the overall system safety with the help of a calculation tool.
The free SISTEMA software assistant from IFA, for example, offers machine manufacturers automated assistance in calculating the safety of their entire system. Various components and their risk parameters can be recorded in the software and the effects of individual changes, including the performance level achieved by the system, can be determined automatically. This safety-relevant data can be easily copied into a project using the library. Manual transfer and the associated risk of errors are thus eliminated.
