Metal bellows coupling KG

Wide range of applications

The metal bellows couplings of the KG series, optionally also available in a stainless steel version as the "KG-VA" series, meet high requirements. Power is transmitted via torsionally rigid, two-, four- or six-shaft stainless steel bellows. The couplings are available for torque ranges from 5 (MKG) - 3000 Nm (KG) and shaft diameters from 12 - 100 mm. It can be used in temperature ranges from -40°C to +300°C.

One side is designed as a customer-specific flange or hub for machine-side connection, while the radial clamping hub on the other side enables quick and easy installation (EASY clamping hub) and guarantees absolutely backlash-free, secure and force-fit transmission of torques, even without a feather key.

The bellows and hub are connected using a micro-plasma welding process. This results in design advantages such as the reduced overall length. The coupling offers absolute freedom from backlash, high concentricity and maximum torsional rigidity.

The couplings are used in particular on the input side of low-backlash worm or planetary gearboxes. In stainless steel design, they are qualified for transportation, packaging and filling systems in the food industry. However, stainless steel bellows couplings are also preferred in metallurgy, the electroplating industry, in the vacuum sector or in the field of satellite technology equipment.
