Targeted solutions for ultra-fine grinding and edge rounding

These are highly dynamic finishing processes that are used, among other things, for the reproducible deburring and rounding of the cutting edges of indexable inserts and shank tools as well as for refining the surfaces of high-precision premium components.

In ultra-fine grinding, both burrs and burr roots can be removed with maximum precision using rotating tools, while at the same time the tribological properties of the treated workpieces can be specifically influenced.

The brush systems used for this purpose achieve their optimum effect when their immersion depth in the workpiece is precisely defined and their abrasive filaments can elastically adhere to the edges and contours of the workpieces due to the planetary rotational movement and the feed of the workpieces. If these conditions are met, not only are burrs efficiently removed, but cutting edge symmetries (keyword: K-factor!) and high surface qualities can also be reliably achieved.
