Profile glider from norelem

Whether sliding doors, drawer pull-outs, slide rails or slide slides - the areas of application for norelem profile glides are diverse. Their base body is made of sturdy die-cast zinc and provides low-wear guidance for manual slides made of aluminum profiles with groove 8 mm.

The profile glider is guided in the groove and forms a robust slide with plain bearing. Clipped-in sliding elements made of plastic ensure gentle linear movement of aluminum profiles. No additional lubrication is required, which makes the system extremely insensitive to dirt. This means that the profile glider can also be used under difficult ambient conditions (dust, moisture and dirt). Attachments can be fastened to the profile glider with the enclosed M6 nuts to DIN 439. Its maximum permissible load is Fmax = 50 N.

Also available with clamping lever

The norelem profile glider is also available with a clamping lever made of glass-fiber-reinforced plastic. By tightening the clamping lever, a sliding block in the center of the profile glider is pulled against the aluminum profile so that the slide system can no longer move. A tightening torque of 15 Nm on the clamping lever means 600 N clamping force. This further development of the profile slide with the additional clamping unit extends the range of applications, e.g. as an adjustable stop.

Slideways with several slides should be designed as a combination of fixed bearing (form F, with M6 screws) and floating bearing (form L, with M5 screws). This compensates for form tolerances and ensures easy movement.
