With product innovations at the Hannover Messe

The drive specialist maxon presents new highlights and publishes the 2023/2024 product catalog with over 600 pages at the Hannover Messe (April 17-21, 2023). Highlights are the brand new ECX PRIME 6 as well as the new sizes 65 and 85 in the EC frameless DT motor series.

this year's appearance of maxon at the world's largest technology trade fair (Hall 6, Booth 44) is entirely in line with the motto: more torque and more dynamics in the smallest space. The leading supplier of electric drives and systems will be presenting exciting first-hand solutions at its modern exhibition stand.
The focus is on the new ECX PRIME 6: the first size of the new ECX PRIME motor family.

Product innovation ECX PRIME
The new ECX PRIME are particularly powerful brushless motors with 4-pole rotors and ironless windings. The ECX PRIME 6 in the M HP version is available for the first time in a motor diameter of only 6 millimeters. Based on customer-specific designs, the technology already proven by larger motors has been further developed and designed for industrialization in such small diameters
. The result is a small powerhouse with speeds up to 50,000 rpm and continuous torques up to 0.57mNm. The ECX PRIME 6 is suitable for demanding applications where installation space is limited or where special performance or control dynamics are required, as is the case with hand prostheses, surgical devices and implants

The growing EC frameless DT motor series
Following the already successfully launched EC frameless DT50S and DT50M, the motor series is being reinforced with the EC frameless DT65 and EC frameless DT85. The new motors are again available in two lengths. To match the motors, maxon offers the TSX 65 MAG and TSX 85 MAG, an encoder solution that allows unique possibilities in the design of complex robotic applications with large hollow shafts.

The GPX70 gearhead completes the IDX70 modular system
With the GPX70, maxon is expanding its planetary gearhead series with a large, configurable industrial gearhead. The gearhead is offered in three versions: standard, noise-reduced and ultra-performance, each with one and two-stage reduction. In combination with the IDX70 motors and drives, this expansion results in extremely powerful, dynamic drive solutions for stationary and mobile, industrial applications.

Novelty for limited space
The new ECX FLAT motors with integrated electronics, compact, brushless maxon motors with integrated 4-Q speed controller, are based on the proven high-torque motors. The new Compact Drives can be conveniently operated via four digital and analog inputs and outputs.

Particularly unique: the extensive functions and parameters of the integrated electronics can be configured directly online.
The ECX FLAT with a diameter of 22mm is now available in two versions. The standard version is particularly suitable for limited space conditions, while the high-torque version is geared towards maximum torques. In addition, the new ENX MILE expands the maxon encoder portfolio and can be combined with both the ECX FLAT 22 and the ECX FLAT 32.

Catalog: overview and construction kit in one
maxon offers a wide range of components: from DC and BLDC motors to gearheads, encoders, positioning controllers, master controllers and battery management systems.
An overview is provided by the 2023/2024 catalog, which has just been published. maxon customers and fans will find the maxon modular system, data sheets, technical assistance and the practical maxon Selection Guide on more than 600 pages.
