STM REACTS TO TRADE FAIR BREAK WITH INTERACTIVE “TECH WEEK”

In October 2020, Austrian waterjet pioneer STM will hold its first free in-house exhibition for waterjet beginners and experts from all sectors.

Eben in Pongau. While the trade fair industry is forced to a standstill, Austrian waterjet system provider STM is in top form. The reason: More than ever, it pays off for companies to make production processes more efficient and flexible. Not only to save costs, but also to return production processes and flexibility into your own company. In line with that, the interest in waterjet technology and the possibilities that this technology offers on an interdisciplinary basis remains high. In order to demonstrate this as vividly and corona-conform as possible, STM has now developed a new in-house exhibition format: The “STM Tech Week 20”, which will take place October 20 –23, 2020. For four days, interested parties and users from all over Europe are invited to explore the potential water as a tool for their own purposes at the Austrian STM test centre in Eben. For this purpose, systems from all STM system series will be available for live operation – including the latest STM innovations “Eco/MasterCut”, the new “STM Flex” operating concept, the STM Cube and the latest generation of the modular water treatment system “OneClean”. This means that all currently possible waterjet applications can be experienced at close quarters during this event. Spanning materials and ranging from simple 2D and 3D cutting all the ways to nested applications with multiple parallel cutting heads, pipe cutting and micro water jet cutting. Participants can control systems themselves under the direction of STM application engineers, read in drawings themselves using SmartCUT software and test cut workpieces using their own templates. Individual needs analyses, cost-benefit calculations and support in the preparation of business plans are also provided. Additional workshops and guest lectures on the latest trends will be offered by renowned experts from the partner companies Ekowa, IGEMS, NUM, Reinwasser GmbH, RWS Service GmbH and STM itself. There will also be speakers from all companies present on all days of the trade fair for a personal exchange of ideas. The programme is identical on all four days, so that participants have leeway in planning and can combine their visit to the trade fair with a short holiday in the mountains. The “Tech Week 20” has been designed with the current Corona regulations in mind, participation is free of charge and previous knowledge is not required. STM will also partly financially support hotel searches and booking. STM thus offers the industry an efficient, much more practice-oriented and safer alternative to conventional large-scale trade fairs. Details on the programme as well as all registration forms including appointments for test cuts and consultation are now available on the homepages of the STM locations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. If the “Tech week” proves to be successful, it will be held several times a year with a changing industry focus in the future.
