INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE
1. Mount the filter head vertically with the bowl facing down - this is what allows water to separate and settle correctly.
2. Wrap 2-3 turns of PTFE tape on each NPT fitting. Hand-tighten plus a quarter turn; do not over-torque the aluminum threads.
3. Pre-fill the new element with clean diesel before the first start to avoid air lock.
4. Drain the bowl monthly, or whenever water is visible in the clear housing. Check before every run on marine applications.
5. Replace the element every 100 engine hours or annually, whichever comes first.

Will this fit my Mercury outboard? Yes. The NPT ZG1/4-19 port matches Mercury, Yamaha, and Suzuki outboard fuel lines, and four brass fittings are included to cover common line sizes.

Is it a true drop-in for a Racor S3240? Yes - same thread and mounting dimensions. It swaps directly with no modification.

Can I run gasoline through it? Yes, the unit is rated for both gasoline and diesel. With ethanol-blended fuel, drain the bowl more frequently.
