Multi-function light barriers are photoelectric sensors where multiple beams are integrated. In case of interruption of only one beam the switching output of the receiver changes its state. The devices are used in areas where a standard through-beam sensor with only one beam is not sufficient. There are devices with beam spacings of 20, 40, 60 and 120mm available. An integrated fuzzy logic controls the transmit power automatically.
