Digital Incremental Encoders (RE) by Dunkermotoren GmbH
For high requirements in terms of controllability and positioning accuracy, the DC motors are available with a digital incremental encoder.
The incremental encoders are contactless and wear-free. A light-emitting diode, a metal slotted disk and a photodiode array form a light barrier. An internal logic generates two square-wave signals shifted by 90° from the signal of the photodiodes.
For cable lengths of more than 2.5 m between encoder and controller or between motor and encoder, the use of an RE ... TI, (additional power driver). The supply voltage of the incremental encoders is 5 VDC as standard (24V also available as an option). The use of an IP54 protective cover is recommended for protection against external influences. In combination with the BG 65, the incremental encoders are also available in an IP65 extruded profile housing. The BG 45 | BG 75 motors are available with an integrated magnetoresistive incremental encoder (ME integrated).
