Soft soldering, brazing, and high temperature brazing are different brazing processes, all of which can benefit from induction heating.

Soft soldering: Soft soldering is a process that uses low melting point solders (below 450 °C) to join materials. It is often used in applications that require lower strength and heat resistance, such as electronics, jewelry making and repair. Induction heating provides precise and rapid heating, resulting in a clean and efficient brazed joint.

Brazing: Brazing is a process that uses high melting point solders (above 450 °C to above 900 °C) to create strong joints between materials. This process is used in applications requiring high strength and temperature resistance, such as mechanical engineering, aerospace, and automotive. Induction heating provides precise and controlled heating to selectively melt the solder and produce the joint with minimal residual stress.

High Temperature Brazing: High-temperature brazing, also known as high-temperature brazing, is a special form of brazing that uses even higher temperatures than brazing, typically from about 900 °C to over 1200 °C. It is used in applications that require extremely high strength and temperature resistance, such as aerospace, vacuum and chemical industries. Induction heating provides precise and controlled heating at these high temperatures to produce reliable joints even under extreme conditions.

In all three brazing processes, induction heating provides a clean and efficient heat source that provides uniform heating, causes minimal distortion, and allows precise control of the brazing process. This makes induction heating a preferred method in brazing, especially for high-value and demanding applications.
