Requirements
The main bearing of the computer tomograph is partly responsible for ensuring that precise images are delivered. Even at high speeds, it must run quietly and with low vibration. Precise radial and axial run-out must be guaranteed.
Solution
A customized, patented Franke whisper bearing with elastomer. In addition to high running smoothness, Franke CT bearings have optimum rotational resistance. Depending on the design and diameter, radial and axial run-out is just a few hundredths of a millimeter. All Franke CT bearings can be adjusted according to customer requirements. Due to the internal elasticity, the bearing is extremely robust even under the toughest operating conditions.
Advantages
extremely smooth running at up to 300 rpm. Noise development is dampened by the elastomer (60 dBA). The bearing has a low rotational resistance (< 20 Nm) and electrical insulation between the inner and outer ring. Loads of more than 1,000 kg are possible.
franke manufactures wire race bearings in any desired diameter between 40 mm and 2000 mm.
