Special materials for special properties

Requirements
A corrosion-protected and lightweight slewing ring is required for a slewing ring in the conveying process of packages. The slewing ring should be as compact as possible, as only little installation space is available. Insensitivity to cleaning fluids is just as important as the smoothest possible surfaces in order to meet the high hygiene requirements.
Solution
Franke slewing ring in special design made of POM plastic with external toothing. Through-holes instead of countersinks reduce the possibility of dirt accumulation, while seals on both sides make the swivel joint resistant to cleaning agents and environmental influences.
Advantages
Completely ready-to-install slewing ring with compact dimensions. No separate and expensive corrosion protection (corrosion-free steel, surface coatings, etc.) necessary as the housing parts are made of plastic (POM). This also makes them very lightweight with low moving masses for high dynamics with low drive power.
