Air Curtain by LK Metallwaren GmbH
Avoiding cold air penetration
Personnel at the goods receiving area know this all too well: When outside temperatures are low, cold air penetrates the building interior every time the hall doors are opened. The consequences are unpleasant, and in worse cases harmful to health.
They range from brief chills to permanent physical stress due to the changing temperatures and their negative effect on the immune system.
Significant reduction of cold air
The LK door air curtain makes a significant contribution to reducing the amount of cold air coming in when the hall doors are frequently opened. Its mode of operation: Air preheated by the hall heating system is drawn in from the upper hall area via individual ventilation modules and guided downward through specifically adjustable slot nozzles in front of the door. The high air velocities effective in this process significantly reduce the volume of cold air flowing into the hall: the hall remains warm throughout. The LK door air curtain is available in "unheated" and "heated" versions; the latter is mainly used in sensitive production areas.
Self-supporting housing construction
Depending on the outside temperature, the LK air curtain is controlled automatically via door contact or directly via the door control system. It can be used for any door size: The door width determines the number of modules.
Important: The air conditions in the hall must be balanced (no negative pressure) for functioning operation.
