Compact drives (MCD EPOS) by Maxon Motor AG

Three in one.
The motor, sensor and controller are integrated into an aluminum housing. With CANopen, setting up a network is easy.

The maxon compact drive (MCD) is a positioning drive that can be put into operation easily and quickly. The combination of the brushless maxon DC motors (60 W) with the digital MR encoder and the EPOS digital positioning controller results in a highly dynamic position controller. The programmable version, MCD EPOS P, comes with a processor and memory, allowing standalone operation.

The controller-motor combination of the compact drive is already ideally configured and immediately ready to operate. The direct connection to the CANopen bus or a PLC reduces the wiring work to a minimum. Drive control, parameterization and diagnostics are conducted via CAN bus or the serial interface (RS232).
