Torsionally stiff metal bellows couplings are indispensable components in modern high-speed test benches. Bearings are subjected to endurance tests under realistic conditions in order to analyze the effect of different lubricants on their sliding properties. To ensure that these tests deliver precise results, the test bench must meet the highest design requirements. The drive in particular requires reliable components: In addition to a bearing that is free of lateral forces, the coupling plays a decisive role.

The requirements are clearly defined: absolute torsional stiffness, good damping properties and precise, almost force-free compensation of shaft misalignment.
