JAKOB Antriebstechnik Expands Its Product Portfolio with ATEX-Certified Couplings

Wherever flammable gases, vapors, or dusts can create an explosive atmosphere, the strictest safety regulations apply to machine components. To meet these sensitive requirements, JAKOB Antriebstechnik GmbH now offers a wide range of its proven servo couplings with official ATEX certification.

ATEX (“Atmosphères Explosibles”) refers to the certification under the European Product Directive 2014/34/EU and confirms the components’ suitability for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. The certified portfolio includes metal bellows couplings, miniature couplings, and spacer couplings. However, elastomer and safety couplings can also be provided.

Thanks to this certification, the backlash-free shaft couplings guarantee absolutely reliable torque transmission even under the most demanding conditions, without excessive heating or sparking.
