The Ingelfingen-based technology company GEMÜ is once again included in the World Market Leader Index of the University of St. Gallen and the Academy of German World Market Leadersas "World Market Leader Champion 2025".

WirtschaftsWoche awards the owner-managed valve specialist GEMÜ the WirtschaftsWoche quality seal "World Market Leader - Champion 2025" for the ninth time in a row. With this award, WirtschaftsWoche once again recognizes GEMÜ's inclusion in the global market leader index in the segment "Valves and automation components: Valve, process and control technology for sterile processes".

The World Market Leader Index is compiled according to objective criteria and transparent selection processes under the scientific direction of Prof. Dr. Christoph Müller from the University of St. Gallen, in cooperation with the Academy of German World Market Leaders (ADWM). In November 2024, the business magazine WirtschaftsWoche published the list of almost 520 global market leaders, including a good 50 companies from Austria and Switzerland, in a special edition.

The scientists define "World Market Leader Champions" as companies that are in first or second place in the relevant market segment, are represented on at least three continents with their own production and/or sales companies, generate an annual turnover of at least 50 million euros and can demonstrate an export share or a foreign share of at least 50 percent of their turnover. Another important criterion for receiving the "World Market Leader Champion" award is (owner) management with headquarters in the DACH region.

As an owner-managed family business with headquarters in Ingelfingen-Criesbach (Baden-Württemberg), 25 subsidiaries and eight production sites worldwide, GEMÜ fulfills the general conditions. In addition to these requirements, it is above all the leading technology and market leadership in the field of valve, measurement and control technology for sterile processes that were decisive for WirtschaftsWoche to once again award the award and the WirtschaftsWoche quality seal "World Market Leader - Champion 2025" to GEMÜ.
