With the new patented sealing system for filling needle / filling pipe systems, the valve specialist GEMÜ has succeeded for the first time in launching an adaptation option for filling needles that ensures hermetic separation between the actuator and the medium. This means that the lift effect and contamination of the medium can be ruled out.
Based on the GEMÜ F40 and GEMÜ F60 servoDrive filling valve platform valves, the proven PD technology (plug diaphragm technology) has been expanded to include a new PD variant with a stainless steel thread that is pressed directly into the PTFE during the sintering process. With the new sealing system, flushing behind the packing seals is no longer necessary. In addition, the risk of contamination due to lubricants from the actuator or due to the lift effect is eliminated. The new GEMÜ PD, combined with the GEMÜ F40 and GEMÜ F60 high-performance actuators, improves the hygiene and performance of every filling application with filling needle / filling tube systems across all media and containers.
Filling needle or filling tube systems are often used in the filling technology of liquid and viscous media. This principle is mainly used in the cosmetics industry, for filling pharmaceutical products and in the food industry, for example for dairy products, juices and sauces. With the new sealing system, GEMÜ offers the possibility of raising safety, accuracy and speed in the filling process to a significantly higher level.
