The stability of a (mobile) crane is constantly challenged on uneven terrain, especially when it comes to lifting heavy loads. Precise inclination measurement with the help of sensors increases both work safety and the performance of the machines. Conventional inclination sensors often reach their limits when movements occur during inclination measurement, as they cannot accurately compensate for the influence of these movements.
The single- and dual-axis inclination sensors in the inertialSENSOR INC5502D series enable precise angle measurements during dynamic movements. Thanks to the new sensorFUSION algorithm, disturbing influences such as shocks, centrifugal forces and vibrations are optimally compensated. The sensors achieve a dynamic accuracy of ±0.3° and a high resolution of 0.01°. They also offer the option of outputting the measured angle as both an Euler angle and a position angle. They can be mounted flexibly in three different positions, allowing the sensors to be ideally integrated into the working environment.
Another decisive advantage is that the sensor parameters can be adapted to the specific requirements of the respective application for series applications. With its robustness and temperature stability as well as its excellent price-performance ratio, the inertialSENSOR INC5502D product series is ideal for series applications in construction, agricultural and forestry machinery as well as in cranes and ships.
