EKHZ spacer coupling - Nothing vibrates here

In addition to the Simple-Flex, WD, WDS, WDZ, WDB and WD-VA connecting shafts, Jakob also offers another series called EKHZ as well as customized solutions for bridging large center distances. The EKHZ series is based on elastomer couplings of the EKH series and is designed for applications with medium operating speeds. It covers a torque spectrum from 20 to 1600 Nm and enables maximum speeds of 3500 rpm with a minimum length of 50 cm. The coupling is suitable for shaft diameters from 8 to 100 mm. Typically, the maximum available length of the EKHZ is up to three meters.

The EKHZ series provides efficient vibration damping and allows the degree of damping to be adjusted by the shore hardness of the compensating elements. The use of plastic stars brings two advantages: it allows easy installation, as the couplings are plug-in, even without a half-shell design. In addition, the plastic provides thermal and electrical insulation. However, due to the material properties, these couplings can only be used up to a temperature of 90°C, with the permissible transmission torque decreasing as the temperature rises.
