The next generation of confocal sensors for series integration

The confocalDT IFD2410 and IFD2415 series of compact confocal sensors offer maximum performance in an all-in-one housing with integrated Industrial Ethernet (EtherCAT). The robust design with IP65-certified housing and an attractive price/performance ratio predestine the sensors for industrial series applications. The sensors are used for precise distance and thickness measurement in inline inspection machines, coordinate measuring machines, robotics, 3D printing, thickness monitoring of flat and container glass as well as for testing electronic assemblies, among others.

Multi-layer measurements of up to 5 layers can be performed on transparent materials. The active exposure time control of the CCD line allows fast and stable measurement on different surfaces, even with dynamic measurement processes of up to 25 kHz.

The space-saving IP65 housing allows fast integration into systems and machines, as no optical fiber is required. direct integration into the PLC is possible via the integrated Industrial Ethernet interface (EtherCAT).
