EnviroChemie receives an order from a major German plant manufacturer to supply the water treatment for the operation of a PEM* electrolyzer for the production of green hydrogen.
Operation of the electrolyzer is expected to generate more than 40,000 standard cubic meters of green hydrogen per hour in Germany. With the help of the ion exchange-based water treatment plant, more than 1,000 cubic meters of pure water can be treated per hour.
EnviroChemie builds the water treatment plant (polishing plant) and commissions it together with the customer. With the help of the ion exchange-based water treatment plant, the circuit water in the PEM electrolyzer is kept at a constant quality.
The scope of supply includes a special regeneration plant for the ion exchange resins and a chemical store. The regeneration plant separates the different resins by type and then regenerates them very effectively. In the chemical store, the chemicals needed for the regeneration of the resins are stored.
The customer chose EnviroChemie because its highly competent water specialists in the field of ultrapure and process water treatment can meet the high demands of the project.
Production of green hydrogen is scheduled to start in 2023.
