Pero CEO Horst Erbel celebrates 65th company anniversary

At the age of 20, Horst Erbel joined his father's company. Today, 65 years later, he
manages Pero together with his nephew. With passion, commitment and foresight, he has also mastered difficult times.

There are definitely very few entrepreneurs like Horst Theodor Erbel in the world. After all, who can say that they have remained loyal to one and the same company for 65 years? Born on September 2, 1936, he joined his father Peter Erbel's company - Pero KG, whose name stands for Peter Erbel Reinigungsanlagen und Oberflächentechnik (Peter Erbel Cleaning Systems and Surface Technology) - founded just a few years earlier, in 1956 as a mechanical engineer barely 20 years his junior. His love of high-quality technology remained hidden there neither from his father nor from his colleagues for a long time.
From the very beginning, he worked with great enthusiasm to make the good Pero cleaning systems even better. In this way he earned a reputation as a perfectionist who knows exactly what "his" customers need.

Business developed correspondingly positively, and in 1958 the company was able to rent its first production facility, a former coal shop, in Augsburg, Germany
. Meanwhile, Horst Erbel was given more responsibility. In other words, just eight years after he joined the family business, his father transferred the management of the company to him in 1964
and with it the overall responsibility for all employees of the Pero family, as Horst Erbel still likes to call his company today.
The growth continued, and so Pero needed more space, which Horst Erbel found with his brothers in Königsbrunn near Augsburg in 1968. This is still the company's headquarters today, where 140 employees develop and produce. In 1992 Horst Erbel bought Gothaer Maschinenfabrik, which merged with Pero AG in 1997 and currently employs a further 65 people.

The jubilarian has often demonstrated passion and commitment, but also foresight. He experienced several recessions and always managed that Pero emerged stronger from them. He still uses this experience today, together with his nephew Gerd
Erbel, to actively manage the company. His employees, i.e. the Pero family, have always been close to his heart and together
they have been able to celebrate numerous successes and constantly push the growth of the company. So: Congratulations, all very well done
