The course for an optimal positioning of the tradition-rich family company in the globalized marketplaces was set in 2004 with the transformation into a family holding company. This step allowed its customers to benefit from direct dialogue, an absolutely market- and product-oriented research and development and from the comprehensive RQS quality service. The next step was taken in mid-2005 when the GS / synthetic fibre (spunbond) division was transferred into Reifenhäuser REICOFIL GmbH & Co. KG. Then, on July 1, 2006, the activities of all film divisions were pooled in the newly established Reifenhäuser EXTRUSION GmbH & Co. KG. It comprises the former blown film, thermoforming sheet, cast film / laminating and component product areas as well as customer service and central production. As a further logical step, Worms-based Kiefel, a leading company in the blown film area, was taken over and incorporated into the holding structure in August 2009. Parallel to this, the blown film activities of Reifenhäuser EXTRUSION were pooled in the new subsidiary Reifenhäuser KIEFEL Extrusion. Thus, the Reifenhäuser Extrusioneers have clearly set the course to growth and leadership also in this market segment. The already traditional leading role of Reifenhäuser Maschinenfabrik within the group of companies has now been institutionalized. Reifenhäuser GmbH & Co. KG headed by Bernd, Klaus and Ulrich Reifenhäuser, has taken over the strategic governance and alignment of the complete group of companies. Within this structure the holding company is able to support the developments of the individual companies in the most effective way and use the synergies existing within the group to the maximum benefit of its customers. "The Extrusioneers" will consistently follow the path now taken and are optimistically looking ahead to the challenges of the future.
