when environmental conditions push conventional sensors to their limits, radar technology shows its strengths: dust, fog, heat or poor visibility - every reliable measurement counts, especially in industrial applications.
HOW RADAR TECHNOLOGY WORKS
Radar sensors use FMCW technology and emit electromagnetic waves that hit an object and are reflected back. The sensor calculates the exact distance from the time between transmission and reception - this results in smart, contactless measurements that remain reliable even under adverse conditions.
Smart radar technology for non-contact linear measurements
Industrial radar sensors from Kübler are based on the latest radar technology and enable fast and high-precision measurement. With a measuring rate of up to 500 Hz and an accuracy of up to ±1 μm, the measurement is not only particularly fast, but also achieves unprecedented precision. Whether as a sensor solution or system solution - Kübler offers a wide range of options for a wide variety of measurement tasks and use in a wide range of applications and industrial sectors.
radar detects objects using electromagnetic waves. A radar sensor contains a radar transmitter and a radar receiver. The electromagnetic waves generated by the radar transmitter propagate towards the target object at (approximately) the speed of light. There they are reflected and then received again by the radar receiver. The time difference between transmission and reception results in the
distance traveled.
