Guided Radar Sensor / TDR (NivoGuide® 3000 /8000) by UWT GmbH
Guided radar sensors use so-called pulse technology to determine the level. An electromagnetic wave generated by the electronics is coupled to the probe and guided downward along the probe. When the wave hits the material surface, part of the energy is reflected. This so-called echo signal is also guided along the rod back to the electronics, detected by them and converted into a level indication via a transit time measurement. With pulse technology, the running time is thus measured directly.
Guided radar sensors are used in both bulk solids and liquid applications.
The guided radar sensor NivoGuide® NG 3100 is used for continuous level measurement in bulk solids applications from a Dk value of 1.5. The large measuring range up to a vessel height of 75 m covers many applications in bulk solids. Intuitive operation and a Quick Start Wizard makes commissioning simple and safe.
Your benefit
- Simple, menu-driven commissioning and diagnostics with operating module and display
- Maintenance-free sensor
- Use in narrow vessels possible due to guided radar signal
The guided radar sensor NivoGuide® 8200 measures the level of liquids or oils under most extreme process conditions. The extremely robust sensor construction, resistant materials as well as a special reference line extend the field of application of the TDR sensors by high-pressure, high-temperature and saturated steam applications. Thus, temperature ranges from -196 °C ... 450 °C and process pressures up to 400 bar can be covered.
Your benefit
- Simple, menu-driven commissioning and diagnostics with operating module and display
- Precise measurement results even in extreme steam applications due to additional reference line
- High-quality graphite and ceramic materials ensure maintenance-free operation even under most extreme conditions.
