Stream Finishing Machines by OTEC Präzisionsfinish GmbH
SF technology, also known as stream finishing, gives rise to an innovative new generation of mass finishing machines. The differences to other technologies lie in the tremendous processing forces harnessed by the machine. This enables material to be removed more selectively and faster than with any other surface finishing system. The machine is suitable for a wide range of applications from deburring and mirror-finish polishing, to smoothing and polishing, as well as the edge rounding of cutting tools.
The SF was specially designed for applications for which no satisfactory process previously existed, and specifically for applications which call for the highest possible surface qualities in the smallest of geometries. The system operates with very short finishing cycles and is very easy to automate, whilst at the same time guaranteeing highly reliable processing. Since the processing forces are in part very great indeed, it is possible to obtain very fine surface qualities with roughness values of only Ra < 0.05 μm, even in the tiniest of flutes or grooves.
The SF stream finishing series (also referred to as immersion polishing units) is a completely new concept which features short processing times, easy automation and excellent reliability as well as providing a first-class mirror finish even inside the flutes.
