Link couplings of the “small version” type are always used when the torque capacity of flexible couplings is insufficient or when special demands are made on the flange construction. The standard configuration combines two steel flanges with a ring of individual lugs solidly connected within itself. When the coupling is overhauled, the lug ring can be changed separately without the need to renew the steel flanges. This permits an economical overhaul of the coupling.
