Oil Separators by EnviroChemie GmbH

Oil separators serve to protect the sewage system from blockages caused by mineral fats and oils. The operation of municipal sewage treatment plants can be considerably impaired by such substances because they are difficult to biodegrade. The installation of oil separators is therefore mandatory according to DIN 1999 or DIN EN 858 in companies such as petrol stations or, for example, motor vehicle operations, in the transport sector and in the metal industry.

The mode of operation of these systems for the treatment of waste water is based on gravity: due to the difference in density, mineral oils and greases float on the surface of the water. Sediments, such as sand, settle to the bottom of the upstream or integrated sludge trap.
