Gentle, durable, versatile - PVD coating

The ever-increasing demand for high-tech products manufactured in the most environmentally friendly way possible was the incentive for Heimerle + Meule to invest in physical vapor deposition (PVD) technology. This added another high-performance coating technology to our extensive service portfolio. The PVD coating process is proving to be a very good complement to previous galvanic techniques.
There are many good reasons for choosing the Physical Vapor Deposition technique: In addition to the low chemical load for sensitive components and the excellent adhesion strength, the availability of numerous substrates, layers and layer combinations - including metals that cannot be deposited by electroplating - speaks in favor of the gentle process. It can also be combined with other coating processes, e.g. as a base metallization for electroplating. In principle, uniform, homogeneous coatings with thicknesses from 0.05 μm can be produced.
