Copper installation pipes in straight lengths
Copper tubes according to EN 1057, RAL and DVGW according to worksheet GW 392
Copper is the standard material used in refrigeration and air conditioning technology and in supply systems for medical and technical gases. Copper tubes for installation technology are standardized in DIN EN 1057 (Seamless round copper tubes for water and gas pipes for sanitary installations and heating systems) and are manufactured from oxygen-free, phosphorus-deoxidized, 99.9 % pure copper 'Cu-DHP' (material number CW024A).
DIN EN 1057 describes seamless round tubes with an external diameter of 6 to 276 mm for cold and hot water distribution networks, hot water heating systems including surface heating systems and for the distribution of gaseous and liquid domestic fuels and waste water disposal. The standard also applies to plastic-coated and factory-insulated copper pipes.

Further areas of application:
thermal solar systems, air conditioning technology, rainwater utilization systems, technical gases and compressed air as well as industrial applications. Tubes in accordance with EN 1057 are manufactured in soft (R220), semi-hard (R250) and hard (R290) grades, whereby soft tubes (6-22 mm) are usually supplied in coils of 25 or 50 m, semi-hard (12-28 mm) and hard tubes in rods of 5 m.
Quality-tested copper tubes
For copper pipes in accordance with DIN EN 1057, a RAL quality mark from the Gütegemeinschaft Kupferrohr e.V. can also be awarded. The quality and test specifications RAL RG 641/1 of the Gütegemeinschaft Kupferrohr contain additional requirements and regulations for testing such tubes compared to the EN 1057 standard. A current list of tube manufacturers whose copper tubes may bear the quality mark can be found on the Gütegemeinschaft Kupferrohr e.V. website.
Quality-tested copper tubes must also bear the following markings:
